Backpack Full of Cash

We are very excited to present the Canadian Premiere of the acclaimed documentary, Backpack Full of Cash. Four screenings of the film will be held across the province.

Narrated by Matt Damon, this feature-length documentary explores the growing privatization of public schools and the resulting impact on America’s most vulnerable children. Filmed in Philadelphia, New Orleans, Nashville and other cities, it takes viewers through the tumultuous 2013-14 school year, exposing the world of education “reform” where public education – starved of resources- hangs in the balance. ”

We will be screening the film in Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge and Red Deer. At each screening we will host a Q & A panel discussion. In Calgary we are very excited to announce that the producers of the film, Sarah Mondale and Vera Aronow will attend and be part of the discussions after the film.
