In the spring of 2015 the Alberta government proposed budget cuts to education which SOSAlberta believed would severally affect Alberta schools. When the 2015 provincial election was called we saw this as an opportunity to advocate for the children of Alberta by speaking directly to Albertans about education issues. We launched a letter writing and social media campaign to let candidates know that education issues are a priority for Albertans. We continue to comment and provide background on education issues to Albertans through a variety of media sources.
